Dubbed "Claude", this AI assistant will be accessible to drivers and passengers via voice or the in-car display. The goal is to deliver a personalized AI experience tailored specifically for in-vehicle use cases. VW claims Claude will be helpful, harmless, and honest - only providing information it's certain about and avoiding unnecessary risks.

Some functions Claude will offer include answering questions about the car and trip, providing navigation assistance, reading texts and emails aloud while driving remains hands-free, and even engaging kids in the backseat with trivia games to help pass the time on long journeys.
